    Places

    Chiusdino is metalliferous hills between Siena and Grosseto. Its origins are ancient, the first outpost was from Lombards.

    The village had a big development in the Middle Ages thanks to the mining of silver and a flourishing agriculture.

    The village is home to some churches of rare architectural value, as the church of St. Michael and St. Sebastian. The boundary walls, the door Senese, are perfectly preserved and allow you to appreciate the climate of an era and of giving away a terrific view.Particularly attractive are the district of Portino and of Buche, divided by Via Paolo Mascagni, that lead up to the Porta Senese.

      Do not miss the medieval village of the country, the Abbey of San Galgano, Montesiepi The Hermitage and the Hermitage of Saint Lucia;  you can also discover the magic city of Siena and the enchanting Pentolina.

      It is advisable walking between Monticiano and San Galgano, visit the river Merse and the slope of Fogar; in the area there are a thousand possible trips that you can do among the beautiful chestnut trees.
